Display nodes in custom control, and then link to full document.
I have a page, which is the home template page, and I have an inline control in there where I have a number of nodes/documents selected using the API and then displayed. This control only shows a summary description, and there should be a link to display the full document - how do I link this? And how do I then create the page to display the full information? How do I know what the user clicked on? Is there some sort of an ID or path that I need to get from the URL?

I would recommend you to read the following knowledge base article about implementing third party controls, more specifically, a new menu. There you can see how to handle tree nodes and linking.
