Custom Form Layout
If I made a custom form layout for a custom document, how do I use it inside a control or a template?

RE:Custom Form Layout
Hi,

Could you be more specific please? Where is the form created? Is it alternative form for a document type or just for document?

I think that Alternative forms article can help you, but from your description I am not getting the right meaning.

RE:Custom Form Layout
I created a custom document, and then the second tab on that window "Form" is where I created the form layout. So, now I'm confused as to how to use it..

Basically, what I want to do is present a form to add this document to the CMS (not in the admin interface, but in a template)... but I didn't want to have to code the .aspx by hand, I was thinking that I can use the form layout thats defined in that tab...

RE:Custom Form Layout
Hi,

When you check "Use custom form layout" you can define a layout which will be used on the editing form. The editing form means the Form tab in CMS Desk.

You will need anyway to modify the page template, if you want to display this form on the live site, and you will need to use the User contributions module to allow the user to modify the document on the live site.

I hope it will help.
