Convert to Web application
Hello - I was wondering if there is any way to convert the visual studio website project that is out of the box into a visual studio web application project. I am not that familiar with how to debug and deploy with web site as opposed to web application. We have a LOT of class libraries and such that we need to reference, and it would be nice if we get it in the same structure... thx...
If not, is there a best practices document on how to develop on top of the cms web project?

Hi,
There is no official document available. But I will send you one PDF with some steps you need to do when converting to web application. However, it is not officially supported and one of my colleagues tried this using 4.0 version. I hope it will help.

I strongly suggest that you maintain a working release of Kentico CMS as a web application. The Kentico CMS code is way too much for building the entire CMS code tree for every small change in development.
Have you any plans on providing such a release?

Could you send me this also, as I am really struggling to develop a very large application using Kentico in its web site model.
I would also suggest putting a public link to this pdf up somewhere so everyone doesn't have to ask for it.. :)

That document is not published since it is not supported nor fully tested. So, it is better if everyone will ask for it - will be aware of this fact, that it is not supported by default ;-)
