Kentico as a Wiki
Hi,

Here it mentions using Kentico as a Wiki:
http://www.kentico.com/cms-asp-net-features/Modules/User-Contributions.aspx

Do you mean by this that any user can edit any template or that there is full Wiki functionality such as adding tags for categories which will automatically link the pages together?

Thanks,
Tom

RE:Kentico as a Wiki
Hi Tom,

Righ meaning of using "User contributions as Wiki" is that you can use this module to simulate behavior of Wiki in terms of adding user articles without registering those users to be CMS Desk Editors. That means that registered users can add some content and manage this content.

You can simulate adding tags for categories by some other way - for example by adding dropdown list which will provide list of possible categories.

For more information on User contributions please see: http://www.kentico.com/docs/devguide/user_contributions_overview.htm

RE:Kentico as a Wiki
Hi,

I'd also like to add a Wiki-style section to a Kentico-based site... However, documentation on this is very sparse and lacking in detail.

Is there a simple step-by-step process to add a Wiki section to an existing Kentico site, e.g. one that's been created as a new site rather than one that's been modified from the example site?

Thanks,

- Ali

RE:Kentico as a Wiki
Hi,

Unfortunately there is not step-by-step guide available however using User contributions module is not difficult. Please refer to Developer's Guide and to example in Corporate site. This should provide you enough information how to correctly set User contributions. If not then please write to support@kentico.com and specify exactly what is not working on your site.
