Using AjaxControlToolkit with ASP.NET 3.5 SP1
Hello

I have a couple of questions about compatibility for you:-

Using Kentico 4.0.x with ASP.NET 3.5 SP1

My website hosting company will shortly be updating their ASP.NET 3.5, to add Service Pack 1.

Is Kentico 4.0.x fully compatible with ASP.NET 3.5 SP1?

In particular I was wondering if there would be any issues using the AjaxControlToolkit.dll V3.0.20229 shipped with Kentico 4.0.x (as this seems to be meant for ASP.NET 3.5 without the service pack)?

AjaxControlToolkit Version Compatibility

I read a devnet forum post which said that only AjaxControlToolkit.dll V3.0.20229 could be used with Kentico 4.0.x, and not more recent versions of the toolkit.

Is this still the case? There are now a number of releases of the AjaxControlToolkit:

30512 May 13 2009
20820 Aug 20 2008
20229 Feb 29 2008 (shipped with Kentico 4.0.x)

Do we still have to use the oldest of these?

Thanks for the advice,

Steve

RE:Using AjaxControlToolkit with ASP.NET 3.5 SP1
Hi,

There should not be any problem when using Kentico CMS 4.0.x with ASP.NET 3.5 SP1. Regarding your second question, Kentico CMS 4.1 will use 30512 AjaxControlToolkit. If you want to use another version of AjaxControlToolkit in Kentico CMS 4.0.x you would need to have source code version of Kentico CMS and rebuild the solution with your updated version of AjaxControlToolkit.

Best Regards,
Miroslav Remias.
