Cannot Setup Database At Live Site - Timeout Problem
What is the reason why when installing Kentico into a new site, the database creation at step 1 times out after five minutes?

Is it possible to create the database manually?

RE:Cannot Setup Database At Live Site - Timeout Problem
Hi Frederick,

If you mean it time-outs after clicking 'next' button in step 1 it seems to be rather problem with connecting to SQL server as DB is created after step 2. Could you please double check your SQL login credentials especially server name? If you receive any error message, could you please provide me with screenshot or text of it?
Could you please eventually try to create some custom simple .NET application and try to connect to it using standard procedures (e.g. ADO.NET)?

Best Regards,

RE:Cannot Setup Database At Live Site - Timeout Problem
Hi Martin,

I can't even get to the second step because the following error message pops up after 30 minutes:-

Error message on installing Kentico

The message doesn't seem to indicate that there was a problem with the user name or password.

BTW, how come there is no file attachment function on this forum?

Regards,
Frederick
