File Not Found Loop
I have a very strange issue. When I migration Ketico to a new server I have the following issues. When I user opens the site for the first time the get sent into an infinate file not found > redirect loop. To fix this they need to type /cmsdesk in the url and log in. After this point it works fine for following visits. However this fix is not possible for anonymous users. Any ideas? This issue is only in IE not Mozilla.

RE:File Not Found Loop
Hello,

Are there any messages regarding this problem in Site Manager -> Administration -> Event log? Is the site live? If so, could you please post here link to it?

RE:File Not Found Loop
No unfortunately there is nothing in the logs and the site is not yet live. I have 3 sites on this installation and have tried different machines. All behave the same. Have confirmed issues in IE 7 and 8 but Safari and Firefox work fine.

I have also noticed something else. When I set my file not found page to empty I don't get the file not found loop... I get my root page displaying "The web site doesn't contain any content. Sign in to CMS Desk and edit the content. " Note this is not my Default alias path though. When I type in a know page it trys to load it but nothing happens.

Also I don't think this is to do with IIS because if I log into cmsdesk and get the site working on one PC then move the site to a different IIS server it continues to work...

Hi JB,
could you please check in the properties if the document you are using as default don't use redirection or some javascript?
It may be also helpful if you could make your site live or send us export package of your site so we can try to inspect mentioned behavior on our computers.
Best Regards,
Zbysek Nemec.

RE:File Not Found Loop
How can I send you a copy of the site? I've debuged the site and noticed that in line 408 of app_code/global.asax.cs the method call "URLRewriter.RewriteUrl()" Always returns FileNotFound enumeration the first time it is loaded in IE. What browser specific operations occur in this method???

Also in my sitemanager I created a new site cusing the corporate ASPX template. This works fine. This makes me think it might have something to do with the fact that I have custom controls on my site? Any ideas???

RE:File Not Found Loop
Hello,

The problem was sovled via e-mail. I post the solution here.

The problem regarded cultures. Default content culture of the site was set to some value but this culture was not assigned to the site in Site Manager -> Sites -> <site> -> Cultures.
