Help! Database installation error
hi, my system runs WinXP sp2, visual studio 2005 and SQL 2005. I tried to install KenticoCMS 4.1 free edition for many times and use the build-in web server in Visual studio 2005. When I set up database with Windows authentication and choose "Corporate Site". But when the database setup was upto "step 4", an error message came out:

“WebDev.WebServer.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.”

Also, a message was listed on the bottom:

"ERROR: Error importing 'Document types' objects (Root)
Exception: Exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrown.
Stack trace: at System.Data.BinaryNode.EvalBinaryOp(Int32 op, ExpressionNode left, ExpressionNode right, DataRow row, DataRowVersion version, Int32[] recordNos) at System.Data.BinaryNode.Eval(DataRow row, DataRowVersion version) at System.Data.Select.AcceptRecord(Int32 record) at System.Data.Select.GetLinearFilteredRows(Range range) at System.Data.Select.SelectRows() at System.Data.DataTable.Select(String filterExpression) at CMS.CMSImportExport.ImportProvider.UpdateObject(SiteImportSettings settings, IInfoObject infoObj, Boolean siteObject, DataSet ds, TranslationHelper th, Boolean updateChild, Int32 targetSiteId, ProcessObjectEnum process, Hashtable importedParentIDs, ArrayList postProcessList) at CMS.CMSImportExport.ImportProvider.ImportObjects(SiteImportSettings settings, DataSet ds, String objectType, Boolean siteObjects, TranslationHelper th, Boolean importChild, ProcessObjectEnum processType, Hashtable importedParentIDs)"

Would you please show me how to resolve this problem? Many thanks!

Cheers

Shienna

RE:Help! Database installation error
Hello,

Your issue seems to be related to memory usage. How large RAM memory do you have? Could you please check how much memory does the installation process takes? Could you please try to kill other applications which take the RAM?

Best regards
Ondrej Vasil
