How do I reduce the 98MB installation size
Hi there,

I have tried several installations of Kentico and no matter what options I choose in the wizard (Portal or ASPX templates), the folder size for the installation is 98MB. I have read in another post that the standard installation is 30MB, can anyone tell me where I am going wrong? I only need a blank installation as I wish to code the pages in Visual Studio and subsequently access them via the CMSDesk. My aim is to keep the file size and DB as small as possible in the hope that it will improve the speed of the application in a hosted environment, as current it appears to be running particularly sluggish.

Hello.

After web installer, standard Kentico CMS project folder has size of 98.2 MB. Maybe you mean size of database, which has 30MB.
In default project folder, you can delete e.g. some templates, or sample aspx pages, but this is the matter of few KB, not MB.
