RE:How do i add image as slide show on my site?
Hi, I used a content slider webpart. This is what I did:
1. Create a folder in the root of the website
2. Create files (image) in this folder which need to be in the slide show
3. Go to the page on which the slide show needs to be seen and add a content slider webpart (in the Listings and Viewers category) to a webpart zone
4. Set the content slider properties, Path (most important) which needs to be the folder you created in step 1

Hopes this helps you, Stef.

RE:How do i add image as slide show on my site?
I have followed the instructions to the T. I KNOW I did it right, but the content slider is not showing up. As a matter of fact, the webpart section won't show. I do have visibility checked as True. Any ideas?

UPdate: I now have the number of images show, but the placeholder fades in and out saying "No Image"
Any idea would be much appreciated.

Hi Kit

Sounds like there is an issue within the transformation set within the webpart properties no locating the images correctly. Can you paste what the content is of the transformation you are using?

Thanks

Gavin

Gavin, thank you for your reply. The transformation thing is probably indeed the issue. I have no clue what they are. They make no sense to me. :)

I used CMS.File.ImageGallery_detail800

Everything else I left the default from the Corporate theme. My path is /Images-(1)/headers/%, which is a folder I created within the CMS's main directory. Does that make any sense?

Hi Kit.

No problem - like anything new can take a while to get your head around something.
Basically the transformation is the HTML code that is used to build a single element of the information you are trying to show. So in this case an image. But rather than specify a specific file or location it keeps things dynamic so the code can be repeated but display different images/information each time.

If that makes sense...

Anyway replicated what you have done and the transformation is fine the only question i have is if you have specified CMS.File in the 'Document types' field of webpart properties?

Hope this helps

Gavin

Hi,
could you please check in Properties of headers document if the Path is correct? If you take a look at General tab - Alias Path field the path should be /Images-(1)/headers

If the path will be correct, could you please grant me with an access to your site. You can send it to support@kentico.com with reference to this thread. If your site is not online the export of your site would be great.

Best regards,
Ivana Tomanickova

Thank you, Ivana.

I do not yet have an option to export my site. The advice that Gavin gave me works very well. But thank you for responding.
