Repeaters & Editing buttons

Hi
when I use a repeater webpart, or create a "News" or "Product" page which using a repeater automaticly, I dont have any "Add New Item" and "Delete" & "Edit" button. I check the "Show New button" and "Show Edit and Delete buttons" in "Editing buttons" part of configuration window, but nothing changed when I change the value of the check boxes!

Hi,

Where are you looking for the buttons? These buttons are available only in CMS Desk (the mode is "edit") and are displayed to the content editors on the Page tab. They are not displayed on live site, only in case that the edit mode was not closed - e.g. when you open the live site in a new tab of the same browser, where CMS Desk is already opened.

I'm using "Version: 4.1 Build: 4.1.3518".
I'm customizing the CMS's UI for a customer and I need a clear and simple way of changing content for my customer. some thing like the add new item buttons in the page tab.
also I've another problem. in the product page, to create a new product (using new button when the product page is selected) the system wants me to select a department for my new product, but the Department dropdown is empty! then when I create a new product without checking "Create a new product" check box, in the product page I see this error: "CMSAbstractTransformation.DataBind]: Length cannot be less than zero. Parameter name: length".

Hi,

I was not able to reproduce the issue with the repeater buttons. I have used portal engine templates. What kind of templates are you using (portal/ASPX)?
What are the settings of the web part? If you can post here some screen shots it will be helpful. Also, a detailed description of steps to reproduce the issue. What changes you have made to the UI so far? Thank you.

Regarding e-commerce. This is default behavior and departments are mandatory, you have to have at least one, it is the same like for payment or shipping methods. They are also mandatory. It might be confusing that there is no warning or something similar, but it should be obvious that you need these parts of the store to have this module working correctly. Hi,

I have the same problem.
I used page template "News with summary" which added NewsRepeater on my page.
The options "Show New button" and "Show edit and delete button" are both checked.
