Hyperlinks dropping part of URL
Hello

Sorry if this is in the wrong place.

I have a webpart created that I need to link to another page.

For eg: I am on page http://planetfootprint.com.au/subscribers/orgs/eur.aspx

I want to link to http://planetfootprint.com.au/subscribers/orgs/eur/Downloads

The webpart has a link pointing to ./Downloads
I have also tried many other formats none of which work.

It drops the EUR in the URL and then obviously cannot get to the page.

I cannot manually make the URL because there are hundreds of clients so I need it to be relative to 'eur' and every other client.

Can anyone explain why this is happening and how to correct it please?

Also I have a 404 page redirect that works sometimes but not for other links.

Eg: If I put in http://planetfootprint.com.au/subscribers/orgs/xxx (xxx does not exist) it directs to the page we have created for errors.

If I go to http://planetfootprint.com.au/subscribers/orgs/%7B&./Properties&%7D.aspx
It gives me a generic 404 error page. Why 2 different pages for the same error?

RE:Hyperlinks dropping part of URL
Hi,

Could you please clarify this in more details? You want to create link to page B on page A? Or, you want to redirect the user from page A to page B?

You can easily use e.g. some editable region or, static HTML web part and create links within the WYSIWYG Editor using the link selector.

Anyway, since I do not know the code and setting of your custom web part, it is hard to say what is wrong so, if you could tell us also more about the link creation - how are you inserting and resolving the links?

More information about your web part or its code would be much appreciated.

Best regards,
Juraj Ondrus
