Events as products
Hi,

We are trying to setup events as products as on our website we want to charge attendees for registration.

I've followed the article in Knowledge Base however got stuck on point 5.

>>>
Add document of type “booking event” to your site tree and associate it with the existing product from the ecommerce module, see http://www.kentico.com/docs/ecommerceguide/index.html
<<<

Not sure if it is supposed to be a custom type and how do you associate it with an existing product?

Has anyone implemented it this way?

Any help would be greatly appreciate it.

Regards,
Peter

RE:Events as products
Hi,

The "booking event" document type is one of the default document types (Site Manager ->Development -> Document types). So, when you create a document of this type in CMS Desk, you need to mark it as a product as described here - http://www.kentico.com/docs/ecommerceguide/adding_new_products.htm or also here - http://www.kentico.com/docs/ecommerceguide/products.htm. You need to allow the Product tab for the document type, to be visible in CMS Desk. You can do it in the document types section mentioned above when editing the document by checking this box "Document is product type:".
