I have some problem with Search, Send to friend and news ticker

Hi,

I have done a website using kentico recently and it is under
kentico free license. That website has a site search, send to friend feature
and a news ticker. I have added suitable web parts to the search, send to
friend and for the news ticker, but when I try to do a search it only refresh
the page (Search results are not listing) any way it passes a value (can see it
in the url) but no return result.

And when I send a message through send to friend web part, it
only send an email to the given email with the message (No url is there).

Finally I have added a news ticker in the home page and I
have a separate page for news & events, when I upload a news to the news
& events page it automatically display in news ticker but there is no link to
the news page from that (It only shows the news).

It is really kind if you can tell me how to correct these
issues? I will send the test URL to the website for your information.

Hi,

Please find answers bellow:

1) Could you confirm you have added SearchResults web part with specified transformation onto the home page? If you have add it to other page please make sure you have set path of the page into 'Search results page URL:' property of Search box web part.

2) Could you please confirm you have specified 'Transformation' and 'E-mail template' properties of 'Send to friend' web part? You can inspire by configuration of this web part at sample E-commerce site where this web part is used on product documents.

3) It seems you haven't specified link into the transformation. Please see http://www.kentico.com/docs/devguide/writing_transformations.htm for more details.

You may also inspire by examples at sample Corporate Site where you can see how you can configure Search and displaying of news.
