RE:How do i upload pdf into my site?
Hello,

if you want upload only few files or one file (not bulk of them), you can simply upload them into CMS as new document of CMS.File type. In CMSDesk -> Content you can click New, select File document type and choose appropriate file.

But, as for your original issue, it is grey, because of you have no files in \CMSImportFiles folder. Please check it.

RE:How do i upload pdf into my site?
Hi,

You are trying to create document of CMS.File type under some document, which is of other type (you can see the type on this document's Properties tab -> General).
You need to go to Site Manager -> Development -> Document types and click to edit the particular document type, under which you want to create the file. Then, on the Child types tab please check the CMS.File as an allowed child type. Now, it should work fine.

RE:How do i upload pdf into my site?
Hi,

Lets say that you want to upload the pdf file under document named A. Please go to CMS Desk -> Content -> select document A -> Properties tab. Here you can see the type of the document, for example document type News.

Now go to the Site Manager -> Development -> Document types -> click to edit NEWS document type -> Child types and here check the File type to be allowed as a child. Now, you can upload the file under the document A. I hope it makes more sense now.

Best Regards,

RE:How do i upload pdf into my site?
Hi,

I got it know - you are trying to upload the file under the Root document (CMS.Root type). You need to go to the Site Manger -> Development -> Document types -> Root type -> Child types and here check the File type to be a child.

Moreover, for more information could you please see documentation to the File import?

Hi,

Could you please confirm that the folder CMSImportFiles exists in your project folder and also that there are some files in it?

Are you referring under site manager>document types? If is under document types there isn't any CMSImportFiles. The CMSImportFiles is in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\kenticoCMS\CMSImportFiles and there's a pdf files in it

RE:How do i upload pdf into my site?
Hi,

I was referring to the disk folder. What are the access permissions set for the web project folder? It is also possible that the application was not able to access it.

Best Regards,
