Remove "My Desk" from CMSDesk
Is it possible to remove the "My Desk" tab from the CMS Desk using the Permissions matrix of a Role?

I only want the "Tools" tab (and "Web Analytics" item) to be visible so that a user cannot change the password to this particular generic account.

Hello.

It seems that it is possible only to hide Content, Tools or Administration tabs, but not My Desk tab. I am sorry for this inconvenience. You can hide/show Web analytics in CMSDesk -> Administration -> Permissions -> Modules / Web analytics by (un)checking "Display module" permission, and the Tools tab can be enable/disable in Modules / CMS Tools -> Oper permission.
