RSS Reader web part is slowing down the site

Hi,

I have a problem with the RSS Reader web part from the marketplace. It seems to slow the site quite a lot.

I have it set to dynamic display mode, because otherwise it took too long to load the page.

I also turned on delayed loading.

But now it seems, as long the feed is not loaded I cannot go to the next page, it always takes longer.

Turning of this web part solved the problem....

Did anybody experience slow behaviour with this web part...?

BTW: running version 4.1

Hi,

I am sorry but the current design of the web part is that parsing and loading the XML takes longer time. Only the dynamic mode and delayed loading can help little bit. I am sorry for the inconvenience. There is already a requirement for some improvements in this web part. I hope they will be done very soon.
