URL configuration
I have article documents in my web site. I would like to use the headline of each article as the URL for that article (kind of like how some blogs work).

Is there a way to pass the headline (which is stored in the database) through the URL alias field? I tried using a macro {%Headline%}, but that did not work.

RE:URL configuration
Hi,

I’m not quite sure if I understand you correctly, but you can set either “Document alias” or “Document URL path” properties of your articles if you want to change the document URL. If this is not what you are looking for, please provide us with some example.

Best Regards,
Miroslav Remias.

RE:URL configuration
I tried to use the document alias path to set the URL to the desired configuration. Is the document alias path able to pass macro variables to call data stored in the database?

RE:URL configuration
Hi,

You cannot use macro in document alias. However, you might find useful wildcard URLs feature in Kentico CMS:
