user contribution webpart and Long Text problem
Hi all,

Using user contribution webpart to insert a new document but:
1. Long Text fields are not displayed (caption are ok)!
2. In Chrome Save & Spell check buttons are not enabled.

Update:
1: Long Text works ok ONLY if I use plain text.
- If I use BBCode then bbcode icons do nothing.
- If I use HTML are then a javascript error is raized!

2: I also tried FireFox: Save & Spell check buttons are not enabled!

Hi,

Could you please provide us with more details? I have tried to reproduce the issue in FF and Chrome as well, but everything works fine.

Which version of Kentico CMS are you using?
Have you applied any of the hotfix packages?
Could you please send us screen shots of the issue?
What are the exact fields definitions for the document type? So we can set our CMS in the same way as yours.
Any additional details would be appreciated.

Hi Juraj,

I found what is causing the problem:

When a container Web part or Web area is AJAX enabled strange things happen to contribution webpart!

Hi John,

What is the exact version number of Kentico CMS?
Could you please describe us the web part's settings with more details? What exactly is set for the web part?
Is it possible to see the issue online on your site?
Where have you enabled the AJAX functionality?

I was able to reproduce the issue.

Thank you for letting us know about this issue. Regrettably, this seems to be a bug in the current version. I'm very sorry for this inconvenience. We will try fix it in the nearest version or in the next hotfix package for this particular Kentico CMS version.
