Are the Default Roles "Special"
Are the roles that come with the initial install special roles that need to be kept and used? I am specifically asking about the ones that start with "CMS", such as "CMS Editors" and "CMS Readers".

I would prefer to define my own roles that match the customer's terminology and then remove the built-in "CMS *" roles. I know I can add my own roles, but I want to remove the other ones for consistency and to reduce confusion for the client.

For example, will removing the CMS Editors role cause workflow to break? The built-in workflow steps do not allow me to specify a role like custom workflow steps do. What role is tied to those default steps?

RE:Are the Default Roles "Special"
Hello.

You can of course delete default roles and create new as per your needs. There should be no problem with it. As for workflow, by default and for default steps, the email is sent to desk administrator and for members of roles with "Manage workflow" permission. This permission you can set for any role in CMSDesk -> Administration -> Permissions -> Modules / CMS Content.
