Hi,

Under the content tree, how can I create a blank page, a page not inherited from the master page?

Go to "Properties - Template" of you page and then switch "Inheret content" to "Do not inheret any content". Now you get just page template without any inhereted content.

Hi,

Alex is right. That setting applies only for that particular document in the tree. But you can also set the page template inheritance settings, so all the documents using this template won't inherit the master page. You can find more information in Visual inheritance article.
