Smart Search Duplication of results

Hi,
Were using Kentico version 4.1 for an ecommerce site and we set up the smart search web part to index the product departments. The client has requested that some products may appear in multiple locations for example a pair of football boots may appear in the football department as well as the rugby department. We've accommodated this requirement by using the "link to an existing document" feature.

When searching for a product the search results return all the locations where this one product is linked to.

Is it possible to filter out the search results so that duplicates of this one product are not displayed?

Hi,

If I am getting the right meaning, you want to hide one of the search results - the original product document or the linked one. This can be achieved, but how to distinguish which one to hide?

The easiest way is to set one of the paths to the product as excluded path in the smart search index settings.
