"Import/Edit Link" Multi-site Problem
Hi

We're in the process of moving our Kentico sites over to a new server, but have somehow developed a strange problem.

We've moved 5 sites so far, but after importing the last site (Site5) I've noticed every time I login to any of the other 4 sites and try and use the "insert/edit image" or "insert/edit link" options in the CMSDesk. The pop-up window of options only allows me to access links and documents from Site5 (i.e. from the Content or Media Library tabs). If I stop Site5 running, and login to another site (say Site4) I can access all the correct "insert/edit" options for that site. But if I start Site5 running again, then log back into Site4, all I can access in the Site4 CMSDesk “import/edit” windows is options for Site5. If that makes sense?

I’ve tried clearing my browser cache/temp files and also tried it both with IE8 & Firefox, but we’re still getting the same problem!

Has anyone experience this before? Is there anyway to fix this problem?

Thanks,
Tim

RE:"Import/Edit Link" Multi-site Problem
We're using a fresh install of version 4.1 by the way.

RE:"Import/Edit Link" Multi-site Problem
I think I’ve resolved the problem!

I noticed that the user login I was using, even though it was set to “is global administrator” and therefore should have full admin control over all site, under the sites tab it was only checked as “is member ” for Site5. I removed the check from “is member” Site5, logged out, logged back in again, and now if I go to Site4 when Site5 is running I get all the options for Site4 again.

Seems like to have full control over ALL multiple sites while being a “global administrator”, you either have to be "is member" of none, or "is member" of every site.

Weird, but it works!
