Simplifying Blog Posting Frontend?
Hi,
I'm evaluating for replacing a customer's legacy CMS. The editing squad adds several articles a day, for example news/press excerpts. Now they have a slick interface: [ login | select article category | add new | type and save | done ]. On relaunching with KCMS I would implement those as blogs.
But I'm concerned that the clickflow [ CMS Desk | Content | Site | Blogs | select (create new) month) | New ... Blog post ] might be to disturbing. Is there a way to add Blogs (and News or other selected modules) to the Tools menu? (and hiding all other tabs for that role of daily content editors). I tried by checking "Show in: Tools menu" in Site Manager and specifying path to ~\...\Blogs\Myblogs\MyBlogs.aspx. That worked well for listing but on adding new post it linked back into CMS Desk | Content | Blog ...

Would that be some kind of business form or web part?

Thanks vm
Jim

RE:Simplifying Blog Posting Frontend?
Ok, next time I try to explore _all_ the goodies before posting ;-) Just found the in-place-editing of blogs, that should be it. Still have to check on permissons etc. Looks grrrrreat!
Thanks,
Jim
