We are currently looking for a
full time Web Master/Developer for our Kentico websites.
This position can be based in our Nashville, TN, Parsippany, NJ or Burlington, MA offices.
The Decision Resources Group Web Master/Developer is responsible for the creation, maintenance and optimization of all websites of Decision Resources Group. He or she will work closely with marketing managers to determine the needs for the specific websites, optimize the content and define the organization of a website. He or she must have experience working with Content Management Systems from a developer’s perspective (Kentico CMS a plus), have significant experience with SEO and be knowledgeable about e-commerce. The Web Master will also ensure appropriate testing is being done prior to launching new or improved websites to fix issues before a site is available to its intended audience. Once a website is up, the Web Master will be needed to review Web content periodically to ensure it is always relevant, and that all functions of the website work appropriately.
The position can be based in Nashville, TN, Parsippany, NJ or Burlington, MA . Some travel may be required. The Web Master will report into the Digital Marketing Manager and will also work closely with the organization’s IT team.
Responsibilities include:
*Debug issues that arise with the performance of the website.
*Interface for performance issues. Liaison between IT partner, the internal IT team and the marketing team. Maintain a strong relationship with these partners to tweak hardware to avoid downtime.
*Troubleshoot the site. This involves areas including content, links, order flows, registration flows and transaction logs. If problems arise with these areas of the site, the webmaster will make corrections directly or delegate the task to other members of the IT department.
*Review statistics and monitor analytics. In addition to making sure everything is functioning properly on the website, a webmaster provides analysis of the website’s business health.
*Plan for future changes to the website. Beyond the focus of day-to-day activities, the improvement of the website as a whole is a necessary consideration for the webmaster.
*As the Internet evolves, the webmaster’s job is to stay current with software and hardware that can improve the success of an online business.
*Implement and maintain an e-commerce systems for certain aspects of the business.
Qualifications/Requirements:
*Minimum Bachelor’s degree preferred
*5+ years’ experience as a web master or web developer
*Experience working with Content Management Systems (Kentico CMS a plus) from a developer’s perspective (creating web parts, form controls, widgets, templates, customizations, ecommerce, software upgrades, etc.)
*Strong knowledge of ASP.NET, PHP, HTML5, CSS, Javascript, SQL
*Experience negotiating vendor contracts
*Strong time management, organization and communication skills
*Knowledge of Ruby on Rails or Amazon AWS a plus
*IT certification (MCSA, Vmware, CISSP, etc.) a plus
