QA Lead (Remote work, 5000$)

Position Summary:
The QA Lead will be responsible for supporting different testing efforts to ensure the highest standards. Ideally, the selected candidate is expected to work efficiently, both independently and as a part of a team, showing good knowledge of testing, time management and communication skills to achieve project goals and deadlines.
The candidate will have to closely interact with customers, project and release managers, development team, business analysts, and business users. In addition, the person will coordinate with QA resources including offshore testers and regularly communicate with external software development suppliers.
Key Responsibilities: Support multiple projects and ensure that design, requirements and other project deliverables meet all standards, as appropriate. Perform end-to-end testing of applications and complex systems and coordinate with other teams, as necessary. Design, develop and execute test plans, test cases and scripts for different testing types, including but not limited to functional, system, security, integration and data validation testing. Document and communicate test results using appropriate tools. Provide accurate status reports per QA standards in a timely manner. Define testing scope, objectives, and approach. Review and create (as needed) QA project plans, requirements and technical documentation for usage, testability and traceability. Contribute to overall quality improvements and manage quality management processes by identifying potential gaps and proposing possible solutions. Effectively communicate with project team members to gain understanding of the system and identify business and non-functional requirements. Provide testing leadership to project teams. Able to lead a small group of testers, providing work direction, assistance and guidance, especially to new hires. Have a clear understanding of systems and applications in the supported areas.
Required Skills and Qualifications: Minimum 3+ years of relevant working experience Degree in Computer Science or related field Strong experience with development methodologies (including waterfall, iterative, and agile) and with testing best practices Working knowledge of test management tools Regression automation in-depth experience is a plus Hands on experience with data testing, including but not limited to data warehouse, database query tools, and SQL testing Fast starter and learner with excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong time management, organizational and interpersonal skills Passion and ability to lead and work independently Ability to implement analytical and creative thinking to solve different challenges
