Cannot export site
Hello,

I'd like to export a copy of the website we built using the free version of kentico. We'd like to move it to our Kentico site-licence and also give the client a copy. It never really went live.

I try to export by clicking:
- Export site
- Preselect all objects (click next)
- Export files
---Export global folders
---Export site folders
---Export ASPX templates folder

it then says "preparing export" and can do this all day. It doesn't seem to be that the browser is locking up. It's the export. I've been trying to export everything, since this site is the only one on this kentico installation and shouldn't be that big.

Perhaps there's a known issue?

thank you!

RE:Cannot export site
Hi,

In which browser you have this issue? Could you please try it in another browser?

Moreover, what are the browser's security settings? Is javascript enabled?

Could you please check Site Manager -> Administration -> Event log for any related errors and post them here?

Best Regards,
Juraj Ondrus

RE:Cannot export site
Hi

Did you find a solution?

I also cannot export my site:
I have checked server settings
I have tried IE and Firefox
I have checked settings in SiteManager

What I did notice is that the export used USER: PUBLIC and everything else is logged as administrator.

Anyhow - any clues?

RE:Cannot export site
Hi Chris,

Sorry to say, I don't have much that will help you.

I was unable to export the site in Firefox, but when I tried IE7 it was totally fine. I think it was a Kentico broswer issue (unless something specific to my install), since I tried multiple times with various settings without it working. I tried IE7, and no problem right away.

Best of luck,
Daleth.

RE:Cannot export site
Hi,

If you are using Windows Vista and IIS7, could you please configure your IIS and change the application pool mode to "classic"?

RE:Cannot export site
Hi Juraj

Unfortunately I am not working on this project on a local machine, but is already being hosted on- line. Although IIS7 is configured to classic, but I fear this will not help.

RE:Cannot export site
Hi,

This is very strange. Could you please send us message to support@kentico.com with the version information and if it is possible, could you please grant us with online access to your CMS?

Thank you in advance.

Best Regards,
