FCKEditor and Internet Explorer 8

Since our client has upgraded their web browsers to IE 8 they have started to get javascript errors with FCKEditor when creating and editing page 'Links'

when either creating a new link or highlighting and editing an existing one
when the user hits OK they get the javascript error

I have tried upgrading to the latest FCKEditor 2.6.5 but i get the same problem

has anyone else encountered this ??

we get the errors on Kentico CMS 3.0, XP and Server 2003 and IE 8

We are thinking that it might be a server setting because it was/is not an issue on our dev server but it is an issue at the clients colo. Kentico, any comment/help on this? Thanks! Amy B

Hi,

IE8 browser is not fully supported in Kentico CMS 4.0 and in any version of Kentico CMS 3.x:

You can try to run the IE8 browser in Compatibility mode - this should avoid this issue. IE 8 is supported in Kentico CMS 4.1.

Member	jimmyb - 12/21/2009 6:20:53 PM RE:FCKEditor and Internet Explorer 8 hi amy i end up upgrading to the latest FCKEditor 2.6.5 (in /CMSAdminControls/FCKEditor/) and then just commented out lines 141, 142 // if ( typeof window.DoResizeFixes == 'function' ) // window.DoResizeFixes() ; everything still seems to work fine ! and we now no longer get the error in IE8 cheers jimmy
