Menu item design – highlighted
I have a problem with the menu highlighting feature in Kentico.

Here’s the set up… 2 list navigations on the page. 1 is a list-based dropdown, and the other is a static list menu that starts 1 level lower than the dropdown.

I’ve added “color: blue” to the “Menu item style” in the “Menu item design – highlighted” area for each menu item. This works great in the drop down navigation, but doesn’t register at all for the left side navigation. It doesn’t add a class, or touch any part of the <li> or link.

Can you help? What have I done wrong?

Hi,

could I ask you, if you are using a CSS list menu web part, or something else? I have tested it regarding your instruction and it works correctly on my machine. Could you please check, if you have filled the form field ‘Highlighted document path’ in your web part properties and this one is included in ‘Path’ property?

Best regards,

Thank you for responding!

Yes, I am using a css list part menu. I was in design mode, and then added a webpart > navigation > css list menu.

And I did put the highlighted document path in, but I thought that path was to start the menu structure in a certain place. I've also got /{0}/.. in there as suggested by a below post. I guess this might be a follow up to that then?

Hi,

could you please tell me the exact terms you used in ‘Path’ and ‘Highlighted document path’ property? (and also please imply your tree structure)

Thank you.
