Active Directory - Access Denied Error
I'm considering using Kentico for my company and have been testing it out. One of the key features that attracted me to the use of this is its ability to use Active Directory. I installed 3.1 on my local Vista/IIS 7 machine, followed the instructions for setting up an adminstrator account and editing the web.config file. I can no longer view any pages and receive this error: Error message 401.2.: Unauthorized: Logon failed due to server configuration. Verify that you have permission to view this directory or page based on the credentials you supplied and the authentication methods enabled on the Web server. Contact the Web server's administrator for additional assistance.

Admittedly I'm unfamiliar with IIS but thought you might know of a quick fix. Thanks.

RE:Active Directory - Access Denied Error
Hello,

You can configure authentication settings for sites and applications under Authentication icon (in IIS 7), if you select your site in left tree menu. There you can set also Authorization rules. If you right click your web site, you can also edit permissions for appropriate account. The link in our documentation is related to settings in our CMS and web.config file, it has no relation to which version of IIS do you use, so it is the same even for IIS 7.
