import onto live site not working
I Have created a website and have now set it up 2 go live

when i iimport the site it picks up the name of the site but none of the content is imported?? why is this?

Hello Cheryl,
Please note that import procedure don't reflect changes in already existing documents.
You should also check that you have exported whole site not only objects, you can export whole site by clicking the small export icon next to the name of appropriate site in section CMS SiteManager -> Sites.

hi that is what i did

so when i go to www.test.abosoftware.co.za

the site comes up but the hovers don't work

when i click on the link the content is there (not the way it should display though - not corresponding with the style sheet i don't think)

however when i log on2 the desk it says The web site doesn't contain any content. Sign in to CMS Desk and edit the content. Once signed in i am given the following option to add content

Hello,

It seems that you are forcing the known bug in Kentico CMS. After importing all cultures are being selected, which causes your issue. Could you please write us an e-mail to support@kentico.com and we will send you hotfix and also we will generate you temporary enterprise license. You will need to unselect all cultures in: 'Site Manager -> Sites -> Edit -> Cultures' and let there only needed ones.

Hi there

i have done what you recommended - but the following problems still occur

when i type in the live domain address all the content and all the styles are like they should be

when i log into the CMS desk i get the message "the website contains no content ..."

Why is it showing when i go into the live site but when i log into the CMS desk it suddenly contains no content? i.e i cannot edit the sight... what are the next steps?

Hi,

Do you still see the languages drop down list in your CMS Desk? What is the culture after you logon? Could you please check also the user account configuration and set the Preffered UI culture to be the same as the site culture is?
