Best way to deploy a web site?
Hi ppl :)

I am using Kentico for only a couple of weeks and this is my first post here.

I was wondering, what will be the best way for me to deploy my web site (which was developed on my local machine) to the remote production server?

Should I use "Export - Import" options? And I suppose that I will have to install Kentico on the production server?

You can install on the server then import. However what I have found is easier is to make a backup of the database. Restore this on the server. Copy all of your local files up to the Production server. Update your web.config with the new connection string to the database and you're done.
