We're using the event calendar web part on one of our pages. The various events have been assigned to categories within their own properties, and we would like to be able to set the background colors for each event on the calendar based on these categories.

I know that we can control some of the calendar styling through the calendar theme, but how would we go about having the calendar recognize the categories and assign classes/colors accordingly?
