Lightbox in different browsers
I am just getting started working on my second Kentico site. I am trying to use lightbox galleries on the pages. It took me a little while to get the configuration figured out. I am using version 3.1a and running it out of VS 2008 so my default browser is IE7. I got a lightbox gallery configured and it works great in IE7 but does not work properly in Firefox3 , Safari3 or Opera. The thumbnails are displaying correctly but when I click on them in these browsers it just opens the image in a new plain browser window, without any animation, navigation or description.
Am I running in to this problem because I edited in IE7? Or is there some other step I may have missed?
Thanks.

RE:Lightbox in different browsers
Hello,

Have you modified any lightbox file (placed in <your project>\CMSWebParts\Viewers\lightbox_files)? Do you use custom JavaScript on the page where the lightbox is used?

RE:Lightbox in different browsers
I have not modified any lightbox files. There is no custom Javascript on the pages where the lightbox is used, but there are a news scroller webpart and a content slider webpart that are part of the Master Page and display on all the pages. (they don't display on the pages with lightbox for some reason) I am thiniking it may be a collision between these scripts. I was going to try changing the structure a bit, putting the lighbox gallery in a sub document that does not ingerit those web parts. and linking to it through a gallery list with a teaser image. I will have to work on that later today. Any ideas or guidance would be helpful. Thanks.

RE:Lightbox in different browsers
Hello,
Yes the problem is connected to using scrolling news webpart and light box gallery on same page. It's by design error caused by interference of javascripts. We know about this issue and we plan to solve it in future versions. We plan to include grey box galleries and others which don't have this problem.
