This is more a query than anything else - maybe I'm not using Kentico in the right way.

I potentially see many pages using the same template - or at least starting with the same base template, and then adding various different webparts to the defined zones.

I only just realised that dragging stuff into the zones - affects the other pages using the same template. I expected each page to be relatively independent of one another.

I'm concerned users of the cms system would get confused and forget about this too - I know that you can create an ad hoc template, etc.. but that seems like something they would need to remember to do - to ensure they don't affect other pages.

Thoughts/suggestions??
