I need to create a global set of category groupings on my website.
with the aim to create relationships between - news articles, products, blog posts, etc

there are several hundred possible categories available. and i was wondering the best way to go about this ?

- would creating a custom Tool Module to administer the categories, and then adding a multipe-select box to each of the news articles, products and blog post pages be possible ?
- or is there an easier way to do this ?
