Once you specify all the settings required the web farm synchronization tasks should be generated and performed without need of any additional enabling the WebFarm support.

If you encounter any problems running this functionality I would recommend you go to the 'Site manager-> Administration-> Web farm-> Tasks' where you should see the tasks generated when some change occurs on the source server.

Could you please let me know if you can see the tasks listed in the 'Tasks' section of the 'Site manager-> Administration-> Web farm'?
