Repeater Transformation Inheritance

I currently have regularly submitted news articles displayed using the repeater webpart. I am in the process of setting up a mobile device site and want to also display them there with minimized formatting.

I have set up an additional page with a repeater and pointed the content path to the original directory and can display the preview with no problems. The problem I am having is breaking the original transformation inheritaince for the news article and getting it to display in the new transformation I created with the minimized format.

Is there a way to point the selected item transformation to a new page using the data as opposed to the original page url with the inherited transformation?

If you have a repeater on your news page and a seperate repeater on your additional page - you should be able to select which transformation you want to use for each repeater.

You can set up two different transformations for your news document type; one preview and one previewsmall and then reference the preview from the news page and the previewsmall from the additional page you created.

Thank you for your quick reply.

I've got the previews working fine. It's the "slected item transformation" that I am having trouble with the inheritance.

What I want is when someone clicks on the document link in the previewsmall transformation, it takes them to a page generated using a "newsArticleSmall" transformation and not the same newsArticle transformation page used for the full site.

Is that possible?

It seems like you should be able to set the 'Selected item transformation' to whatever you want but it doesn't work correctly. Maybe you should send support@kentico.com an email. marie.
