Tilde (~) not mapping to app root
I'm having a problem creating a link within an editable text region using the FCKEditor. I select the text I want to link, click the hyperlink icon and browse for the document I want to link to. A string like /getdoc/83n3jdj393dmk then populates the URL field. When I click to the live page, the link generated puts a tilde in like http://approot/~/getdoc/83n3jdj393dmk. I assume the Tilde is supposed to map to the approot, but it doesn't. So I cant create working links within content using the FCKEditor. Any ideas why the Tilde is not mapping to the approot? Or how to prevent it from being prepended to the selected URL? Is this a Kentico issue or possible a .NET config issue? Thx.

RE:Tilde (~) not mapping to app root
Greg,

In FCKEditor's Web Page Dialog, I usually select LinkType = URL, and Protocol = <other>. Then, in the URL box I enter something like "/rootname/somepage.aspx".

I don't use the browser, else I get results like you did, but I don't know why, not why I have to select Protocol = <other> rather than http://.
