Dear Kentico Admin

I posted this article since 5 days ago with no reply. Is there any problem with support?

Re: Hosting company
not to simply push my own company, but Argo Web Services (http://www.argowebservices.com) will host Kentico-based sites for $200/year... if you are interested, or have additional questions, please feel free to contact me at rgillen@argowebservices.com

Re: Hosting company
Hello,

I'm very sorry for the delay.

You can run your website on virtually any ASP.NET hosting, you just need to ensure the write permission to the disk and proper database to you web site (MSSQL).

Considering the hostings I have heard about, I would propably recommend you www.forpsi.com, but I don't have any personal experience with it, I just heard about it better things than about the other hostings.

We usually use www.dotnethosting.cz which provides full support of KenticoCMS, but I am not sure if they have enough support for the english speaking customers.

I will try to do some research and let you know if I find some more informations about another reliable hostings.

You can also check our partners directory at http://www.kentico.com/EN/Partners/Partner%20Directory.aspx and find out which hosting do they use.

Best regards

RE:Re: Hosting company
Hi Martin,

We would like to know if Kentico can operate without file WRITE permission. We have a load balanced synchronized environment where we prohibit writing to the server.

If so, what would be impacted, or what would be the minimum scenario we can run Kentico without file write access?

Thanks in advance!
Philip

RE:Re: Hosting company
Hello Philip,

Yes, Kentico can be configured to run without write access to the disk. For more about this topic please see our developers guide at the following links:

http://devnet.kentico.com/docs/devguide/installation_in_medium_trust_e.htm
http://devnet.kentico.com/docs/devguide/configuration_for_medium_trust.htm

I hope this helps.

Best Regards,
Boris Pocatko
