Renaming "News" files
Hi,

This issue may have been resolved with subsequent releases -- and I'm about to go down the upgrade-path from 1.8b all the way up to 1.9a -- but in case it hasn't, will post ...

If the title of a News item is renamed (ie, "News Title" on the Edit Document - News page), only NamePath and NodeName are modified in CMS_Tree. You can still access the renamed News item fine, but the virtual filename in the address bar is still displayed as the original *.aspx name.

Like I said, perhaps this doesn't occur with later versions, but if it hasn't, is there a workaround to have AliasPath and NodeAlias also updated?

Thanks,
Sharon.

Re: Renaming "News" files
Hi Sharon,

this is by design. The alias path doesn't change so that the links keep working and so that your code that may use the alias path keeps working. If you want to change the URL/alias path, you need to do that manually in the Properties dialog.

Best Regards,
