Document Template
Although kentico CMS is good but there are things that sometimes are hard to understand. I am just wondering what is the basic purpose of Document template is? How can one use these document template. I have read the documentation but still not clear on how to use it. Can anyone please give me a very basic example.

If you need to display data from an external database, you need to use standard ADO.NET library and ASP.NET controls to display the data.

The document template is a custom document type, such as article, news, product details, for which you can define custom fields, such as Articlename, ProductPrice, etc.

The purpose of document templates is to enable content editors to enter content in a structured format.
