Go with 1.9, or wait for 2?
Hello,

I am getting close to agreeing a CMS driven website with a client and am planning on using Kentico, however I believe v2 release is edging closer and I have a couple of questions regarding this.

1. If I license v1.9 now, will my license be transferrable to 2 should I choose to upgrade?
2. If not, is it worth waiting for v2 (i.e. will it be out soon), or should I just go with 1.9 now?

Hi Greg,

Thank you for your message.

1. Free upgrade will be available to all clients with subscription.
2. Version 2.0 final release is planned for around October 20.

We will add a link to the public beta version later today or tomorrow on our site.

I won't have to buy a CMS until after the 20th anyway, but it's good news that your offering the free upgrade anyway.

Actually, we're offering a free upgrade to customers who purchased a license with subscription...
