Upgradeing site from 1.9a to 2.0
Our current site doesn't have a lot of content, but it does have a lot of users, roles, templates, controls, etc., that I've set up. The content editors are banging away at it, but there are a lot of short-comings that I hope 2.0 will remedy.

What all is envolved in the upgrade? Will there be data loss? Since we purchased Kentico with the source code (I believe we purchased 1.8, but were sent links to the 1.9 and 1.9a source) will be also receive the 2.0 source free?

Thanks.

Re: Upgradeing site from 1.9a to 2.0
Hello,

we will release a migration toolkit during November that will allow you to migrate your existing content, user accounts and settings (development metadata) to the new version. Still, the upgrade will be more complex than the usual 1.x upgrades due to many changes in the system architecture.

Since your company has a valid subscription, you will receive 2.0 upgrade with source code for free.

Best Regards,

Thanks Petr.

By chance does, "during November" possiblly mean "before November 17th" (our usability deadline)?

Re: Upgradeing site from 1.9a to 2.0
I'm sorry, but our current updated plan is to release the migration toolkit after 2.1 release at the end of November due to the e-commerce and forum module dependencies.
