SqlDataSource (VS 2005)
Hello,

Has anyone tried to use SqlDataSource with Kentico CMS in Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Edition?

Here is the error i'm getting when i try to drag and drop the control.

"Cannot get web application service"

In studio.net 2003 i been using CMS Controls, but just wanted to try using MS controls and see if i can conntect to my database.

Nevermind, i found other way to make it work. Once you drag-n-drop Gridview or other controls, then you can create a new data connection and reuse.

It is working for me now.

Hi Mohammad,

There shouldn't be any problem with SQL Server 2005 as we have tested Kentico CMS on this platform. I'm not sure about your configuration of SqlDataSource, but we do not influence this control in any way, so this is most likely not connected to Kentico CMS.
