CMSEditableRegion + separate cmsdesk app?
I'm having trouble getting CMSEditableRegions to work in my app, and I suspect it is because I have removed the Kentico authentication and moved the cmsdesk to a separate application, so the site running while I'm logged into cmsdesk doesn't itself have the kentico user info, and is thus rendering in publish mode.

Does this sound accurate, and if so is there any way around it? I was hoping to move all my CMSViewers that loaded articles to Editable Regions for our next site update.

Hi Chip,

Yes, it's caused by the fact that your CMSDesk is running in a separate process. The browse/edit indicator is stored in a session variable that is not shared in this configuration.

Best Regards,
