Re: Porting Kentico to Production
Hi Nessy,

Thank you for your message. If you have developed an application with Kentico CMS on your local machine, you need to follow these steps:

1) Backup your local database and restore it on the production server.
2) Copy your files (over FTP) to the production server.
3) Update the web.config parameters, such as CMSConnectionString, CMSWebApplicationVirtualPath and CMSMetadataFolder.

That's usually all you need to do. Please see Kentico CMS Developer's Guide -> Installation and Deployment -> Deployment of the Web Site to the Production Environment.

Should you need any help with that, I will be happy to assist you.

Best Regards,

Hi,

I have followed the instructions but when I post to production, only the Home page shows but the rest of tha pages doesnt.

Realised that usually the pages that doesnt, all have the "%2" behind it.

http://XXXXXX/CMSDEMO/Products/Category%20A/Product%20A1.aspx.

Thanks for the help.

Re: Porting Kentico to Production
Hi,

did it work on your local machine? Also, could you please write me if (for example) page http://XXXXXX/CMSDEMO/Products.aspx works?

What error do you get for pages that do not work?

Thank you.

Best Regards,
