Homepage editor pane not working
I am trying to setup the default.aspx (index page) template of my site to have a editor pane. I have added the editor pane, as well as the page manager, but when I login to cmsdesk, and goto "content" and then click on "/" I see the homepage, but no editor comes up, only blank. I am using the same controls/code on all my other templates, and those editors are coming up fine. Am I missing something?

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike,

could you please try to click on the /Home page (or whatever the name is) in the Content section instead of clicking the root?

Please let me know if it helps.

Re: Homepage editor pane not working
Well, in this case, you need to create a new Page (menu item) document and set its page template to your default.aspx page. Then, you will be able to edit its content.

The reason is that the root node cannot contain any data. The content of editable regions can be stored only in Page (menu item) documents.

Please let me know if it helped.
