editable region in page
Hi
I am setting up a Partners program so that clients can log on and manage their own content.
Do users have to manage Editableregions (ie a text box with the HTML pallet) from within the CMSDesk, or can I set one up on a "public" page that they have to be a partner to edit ?
thanks ajm

Re: editable region in page
Hello,

Thank you for your message. You can either give the partners access to CMS Desk and set the Starting Alias Path in their user profile so that they cannot edit the rest of the web site or you can try using the editable regions directly on the page.

We haven't tested the second option so I cannot guarantee it will work, but generally, you need to:
1) create a secured section for your partners
2) grant the partner with permissions for editing his/her page.
2) navigate the partner after logon to their profile and set Session("CMSBrowseMode") = "edit" so that the page is shown in the editable mode.

Best Regards,
