Multiple sites for security
We currently have a static company web site installed on a server in our main data center which also houses servers used by our customers to access our online software applications. In addition to this we maintain a separate support web site at another location so that we can provide up-to-the minute support information should our main data center experience problems.

So taking into account the above how might we best use Kentico to merge together our corporate and support web sites? Would you suggest we have the CMS on a local web server as well as the one at our data center and then update one from the other? would we do this with replication or could this be done with content staging? ideally we would need both web sites to have itentical content at all times and for us to be able to update them both. I guess we would also need to ensure that some kind of automatic URL redirection was done between servers by the domain registrar. If you would be able to detail a suggesed model for this I would be most grateful

Many thanks

Re: Multiple sites for security
Hello,

Thank you for your post. You could do that with content staging. In this case, you would have one main server where you edit all content and another server, where you only view the content. The content is synchronized through a secured web service, so it should work through firewalls without any problems.

Unfortunately, there's no support for automatic redirections between servers in Kentico CMS - you would have to ensure this by some other (system) means.

Best Regards,
